Description
This class gives fundamentals in acting for film and stage. Learn the disciplines of Stanislavski, Adler, Meisner, and Strasberg along with Linda’s insights and techniques to bring emotional connection to character. Students are introduced to relaxation, sense memory, “what if” and repetition exercises. Students also learn improvisation, cold reading for auditioning, and in-depth scene/monologue study. This class covers the “business of acting,” and the culture of the industry in New York, Los Angeles and Atlanta. The book The Actor’s Manifesto; Create a Successful Acting Career, available on Amazon is needed for this class. After attending this class students are ready to audition and are invited into Workshop Advanced for the Working Actor. 10:30 AM-12:30PM EDT/EST
